Braces

Braces Sydney NSW

Having straighter teeth can improve the appearance of your smile and significantly compliment the rest of your face.

Why get braces?

Most importantly, braces can significantly improve the aesthetics and functionality of your smile. Having straighter teeth can help you maintain healthy teeth and gums, as crooked teeth make it more difficult to brush and floss properly. This means that you are at a higher risk of accumulating plaque, tooth decay, and gum disease. Teeth that are correctly aligned can also assist with bite problems – including overbites and under bites. These common problems can affect your ability to chew and speak, which is another valid reason that braces can be an ideal solution. Additionally, you may find that having a straighter smile allows you to feel more confident in social situations. There are a large number of benefits to having braces, so if you are somebody who has always wanted straighter teeth – this could be the perfect solution for you.

What’s involved in braces treatment?

Throughout your treatment, you will wear braces on your teeth that are accompanied by stainless steel brackets. These are permanently attached to each tooth throughout all stages of treatment. A wire is also utilised to connect each bracket and apply a gentle pressure over the duration of treatment – allowing the teeth to straighten in a gradual manner. Small o-rings are used to sit over the wire and brackets. These come in a variety of colours, which means you can personalise the appearance of your braces. Each time you return to us we will update these o-rings, so you can experiment with a new colour every time.
